A Letter From the Dean

As Dean of this school, I think about the future of Wicca, and what I can do today to help create the future we want. When I think of our future, I know, no matter what all our many honorable servants of the Gods desire or are called to do, they cannot do it without funding. As a student of the mysteries, a child of the Goddess, a member of community, and as someone who is going to reincarnate here, each of us has a responsibility to give to the non-profit institutions that provide for and promote our religious views and values. Whether it be here or somewhere else, financially support the leaders, whom you believe are doing the work of the Gods, and watch Wicca grow exponentially in this next decade.

It is my vision that a day will come, where I do not have to charge tuition for students. I believe that one day, we will have willing financial support given to the school by the students and alumni, that will allow us to provide for the needs of new students without requiring tuition. Until that day comes, I offer you a choice to support that future with me, and choose a monthly offering to the school that is based on a percentage of your income, and not the bare minimum we can afford to charge for a class. With this option, we can provide more for you, while you’re still here to enjoy it.

Christians give an average of $80 a month to their churches. I was raised Mormon, where you are expected to give 10% of your income. Considering the old ways, when a healer was one in a Village of 7 to 13 families, sharing 10% with your Priestess allows her to have one whole income comparable to the families she serves. Knowing that students of the mysteries need to purchase books, tools, crystals, candles, altar clothes, and don’t forget capes and drums; it is my opinion that 5% should be spent on personal tools and effects, and 5% should be given in offerings and donations. However, ANY monthly commitment to the non-profit institution of your choice would give our religion a huge stride forward in our social evolution. Please give what you can to the leaders you believe in.

To foster this ideaology, and further the needs of Wicca, we offer tuition-free classes to anyone who becomes a Supporting Member of WiccanSeminary.EDU by agreeing to a monthly offering of as little as $39 a month. And, we thank you so much for your support to the Goddess and Her people, in however you choose to give it.
